From Addiction to Ambassador
This month, I have been sharing the Gospel on the streets of a nearby borough, an area with many young people experiencing homelessness and struggling with addiction and alcoholism, because God specifically placed this location on my heart. After all, I spent many years walking those very streets myself.
This month, I had the opportunity to meet E and hear a bit about his life and the circumstances he is facing. He has a four-year-old son with a heart condition who is currently undergoing medical treatment. E himself is battling addiction on a daily basis.
I spoke to him about Jesus and what He has done in my life, how His love is so great that it gave me the chance to turn my life around. I told him that God was offering him the chance to change. It wouldn’t be easy, but God would sustain him through any circumstance.
I thank God that he accepted Christ as his only and sufficient Savior. We are praying that he will begin attending a Christian church.
