The Gospel Shared in an Unreached Village
The story is about a nearby village. Until last month, no one in this village had ever believed in God, nor had anyone shared the Gospel with them. Last month, I went to the hospital to meet a man. During our conversation, he shared his life story with me. I had the opportunity to talk to him about Jesus.
He lives in the high mountains, his life was difficult, and he suffered from many illnesses. Often, he could not recover. The shaman advised his family to sacrifice pigs, chickens, and cows because their ancestors supposedly demanded it. Despite years and months of such practices, the family only grew poorer and sicker.
When I shared with him about the Gospel—the love of God who is merciful and rescues us from the power of evil so that we no longer worship spirits with chickens and pigs but instead have a blessed and peaceful life through the love of Jesus and His sacrifice for us—his family decided to believe in Jesus. Being respected in the village, he shared the Good News he had heard from me with all his brothers and sisters. They eventually abandoned their practices of worshipping ancestors and spirits and turned to God.
In total, 35 people in the village believed in God, and 23 were called by God to study basic doctrines and were baptized. I request prayers from you and fellow workers for this village and for the new believers, that they may remain steadfast in their faith and glorify God in their community, leading many more souls to Him. Amen.
