144 People Surrendered
We give all glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the mighty work He accomplished during our recent evangelistic outreach. What we witnessed on this trip was not the fruit of our own strength, but the moving of the Holy Spirit ahead of us, softening hearts and opening doors that only God could open.
Upon our arrival we did not know what reception awaited us. The community we entered held a variety of religious backgrounds and by every human expectation, we anticipated resistance. Instead, we experienced the opposite. Household after household welcomed us in, opened their doors, and gave us audience to share the message of salvation.
Families who did not share our faith received us with warmth and hospitality, listening attentively as we shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This was, in itself, a testimony of God’s favor going before His servants just as scripture declares in Psalm 23:5, that He prepares a table before us even in the presence of those who might otherwise oppose us.
By the grace of God, a total of 144 souls gave their lives to Jesus Christ during this outreach. Men, women, and young people who had never before called on the name of the Lord repented of their sins and confessed Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
We stand in awe of the number 144, and we cannot help but reflect on how the Lord multiplies the labor of His servants beyond what we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Each of these 144 souls represents a life transformed, a family that will be touched, and a household that may yet come to know Christ through their testimony.
We give glory and honor to Jesus, who alone deserves the praise for every soul saved, every heart softened, and every door opened. To Him be the glory both now and forevermore. Amen
