On our recent visit to a nearby city, we were walking along the boardwalk when we bought some “marquesitas” (typical regional desserts) for the team. 

I began sharing the Gospel with the woman at the stand who served us, and she told me her story. She has five young children, had been abandoned by her partner, and was contemplating suicide. 

We prayed for her and for one of her children who was present, and they became interested in the Gospel. The children of the pastor who hosted us in that city offered to take them to church the following Sunday. They picked her and all her children up, and that day they gave their lives to Christ. Thank God, a family was able to change their story.
