An Uber Ride I’ll Never Forget
One weekday, while returning from work, God allowed me to have a chance encounter with Francisco, an Uber driver. As he drove me to my destination, he struck up a conversation, and among the topics we touched on, a rather curious question came up:
“Do you drink?”
“No,” I replied confidently.
“Why not?” he asked again. “Does your religion forbid it?”
And from there, I began to share my testimony and how God rescued me from a life of excess and how He has shaped my life over the years.
He listened attentively, and I asked him if he had any beliefs. Without hesitation, he said,
“I’m Catholic, but that’s because my parents and grandparents are.”
I asked him, “What’s stopping you from accepting Christ into your heart?”
“I don’t think anything,” he replied hesitantly.
Upon arriving at my destination, I asked him if I could pray for him, and he agreed. Guided by the Holy Spirit, he confessed his sins and received Christ. Before he left, I gave him a New Testament to read, along with my contact information so I could follow up with him.
