God’s Healing Power
My Timothy and I decided to visit patients at the central hospital in our province. Since it was three and a half kilometers from where we lived, we had to use our Reaching Souls Ministry bicycles to go there. We set off for the hospital at 10 am and took only an hour to get there.
First, I had to speak to the authority responsible about our main purpose of this visit, and we were told to wait until the visiting hours. At 12:30 pm sharp, we got into the hospital, and since we did not have any specific relative who was sick, we went to any beds where there were patients with chronic sicknesses, praying for those who needed prayers.
From there we went to the ward with patients who were HIV positive and spoke to them and were regretting having misbehaved during the time they were in good health, and we also prayed for them. The people who needed prayers became so many then we took advantage of that and started sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with them. At last, we got surprised to find that the people gave their lives to Christ after repenting their sins. My timothy quickly took their addresses and telephone numbers then we divided ourselves to visit other patients since we were running out of time.
l then got to bed of a patient named Zac a thirty-five-year-old man who was suffering. I asked him if I could share with him the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and he agreed. I spoke to him from the book of Matthew 11:28 explaining to him that all who are burdened shall be given rest only if they are in Him, our refuge. I explained to him that only those who believe in the name of Jesus shall be called sons and daughters of God and will inherit eternal life because our Lord has already prepared these places for them in heaven.
Zac was not a believer, so he asked a few questions about the things above, and he later repented of his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. I then prayed for him, asking God to heal him. I took his details and advised him to contact me whenever he got better, or when he is out of the hospital. My Timothy also recorded all those who had turned to Christ for salvation.
After a week, Zac got better, and he contacted me, informing me that he would like to thank the Lord for healing him and that he would like to come and attend services in my church. Right now, he is doing very well in church activities and promises to help in hospital evangelism. My Timothy and I will still make follow-ups to those we recorded who gave their lives to Christ and are still in hospital to check on them.
Glory Be to God.
