No Longer Alone
On a warm Saturday afternoon, a man trudged home from his small farm, the sun casting a golden hue over the fields he had toiled in all day. His hands were calloused, and his clothes were dusted with the remnants of the earth, but his heart felt heavy with a burden he couldn’t quite name.
As he walked along the dirt path, he noticed a figure approaching him. It was me, with my face full of a smile stretching from ear to ear. “My friend!!” I exclaimed, pulling him into my warm embrace.
After exchanging pleasantries, I shifted slightly. “How have you been my friend?” I asked, concern flickering in his eyes. He answered, “It’s been tough. The farm is demanding, and I feel lost sometimes. I don’t know if I’m doing it all right.”
I told him my faith story. I found something that changed my life. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and it brought me peace I never thought possible.
Curiosity sparked in his heart. “Jesus?” he echoed, unsure of what to think. I continued, “Yes! He loves us unconditionally and offers hope and forgiveness. John 3:16. I would love for you to join me at church this Sunday. It’s a nearby school gathering; you’ll find a community that cares and a message that can transform your life.”
Angoni felt a flicker of hope. “I’ve never been to church Pastor. What if I don’t belong?”
“You belong. We all do. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about seeking something greater than ourselves,” I replied. His voice filled with warmth, and as he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, he realized he was no longer alone on his journey.
Amen.
