Reaching Souls in Remote Areas

I want to give thanks to the Lord for giving me the opportunity to serve Him through what may seem like a simple tool – the radio and memory cards.

A few years ago, while searching for ways to bring the Gospel to those who had never heard about Christ – especially in remote areas without internet or smartphones – the Lord placed in my heart a vision to use radio broadcasting for evangelism. At first, I only had a few recorded Bible programs and short sermons. With the support of some brothers in the church, we began testing broadcasts on the station in the region. To my surprise, many people were listening – from lonely elderly people, to drivers, farmers in the fields, and even those in distant mountain villages.

One day, I received a handwritten letter from someone living near the border. He wrote: “I have never been to a church, but through the radio and memory card given to me by a friend, I was able to hear about God for the very first time. I believed in Jesus through a sermon about His love for sinners.” That testimony moved me to tears. I knew the Lord was at work.

From then on, we expanded the programs, broadcasting at different times, adding Bible lessons, Christian music, and even prayer request segments. Many people began calling, texting, and writing letters to thank us and to ask for prayer. The radio and memory cards have become “an extended arm of the Gospel,” bringing the Good News to many places and touching countless souls without fear of restriction or limitation. Especially in remote areas where no one can go to witness directly, the radio has become a precious source of faith nourishment for many who cannot gather in church.

To this day, by God’s grace, thousands of people have been reached with the Word through radio broadcasts and memory cards. Many have expressed their faith, joined churches, and received baptism. I realize more than ever the truth of Scripture: “The word of God is not bound!” (2 Timothy 2:9). When we remain faithful, God Himself will open the way.

In August, I visited a village where a large group of people live. Back in 2008, I went there once to preach but was arrested by the police and beaten for two days and nights. Yet, through the radio, the Word of God had already been quietly sown in this land. During this recent trip, we witnessed 21 people accepting Jesus Christ. We prayed for them and gave them radios so they could continue to grow in faith.

Just six days after we returned home, many more people had heard the Gospel through those radios and memory cards, and now a new church has been established right in the very place where I was once arrested and beaten for the sake of Christ’s name. We are deeply grateful to the Lord!

May God continue to use every possible means – especially radio – to expand His Kingdom. Please pray for us, that we may always seize every opportunity and use every tool to proclaim the Gospel until the day He returns.

Amen!
