The Present and Future Church
This second month of 2025 brought with it a revival and a beautiful desire to impact the lives of all communities with the presence of God. We decided to focus our evangelistic efforts on children, a group we often forget and dismiss because they simply don’t bring tithes to the church. However, they are the present and will be the future of Christ’s church.
We planned an evangelistic event supported by many resources and impacted the lives of 200 children and more than 100 adults. Of course, at an event of this size, we couldn’t fully grasp the impact we could have. However, when Cristian, a 6-year-old boy, received a gift we had prepared for each invited child, he was so moved that tears began to flow from his eyes as he told us that he himself had asked God for many of the things he wanted with all his heart. It’s clear that Cris has needs at home, but this afternoon will be etched in his heart.
We held the prayer of faith with all the children, and among those present, Cris closed his eyes and prayed the prayer. Cris showed us that every effort made by the younger generations is worthwhile.
We are convinced that there is no specific age to accept the message of salvation, and we were very happy to see so many children surrendered to the feet of Christ. And of course, we have seen short-term fruits of this: unaccompanied children coming to congregate in the church we pastor, and adults coming to the feet of Christ thanks to the impact achieved by what we have done.
We hope with all our hearts that this seed may bear 1000% fruit, that each impacted life may continue in relationship with God. May these children soon be the harbingers of a greater revival in our municipality. Furthermore, we trust with all our faith that the parents of the children present also received the message of hope they needed in their hearts, and that they will soon change the destiny of their lives because they have included God in their plans. Every action we can take to help others like Cristian experience those moments of happiness and connection with God are a total privilege.
